Nico Vega

Los Angeles-based band Nico Vega is one of the few artists to sign to Myspace's record label. Combining raw, stripped down blues rock with punk overtones, the trio has made a name for itself during an era when folks like The White Stripes and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs were capitalizing on a similar aesthetic. Fronted by lead singer Aja Volkman, who claims to have written music since high school, dreaming of starting her own rock band, the group has gone over well with fans of female-fronted alt rock.
