Figurines is a danish indie rock group with a main focus on intense and stripped-down rock songs. Formed in in the small town of Vestbjerg, Northern Jutland, the group's members lived at a distance to an established music scene--the nearest indie rock bands played in the town of Aalborg. This is probably the reason the band sounds more like American lo-fi and rock groups such as Modest Mouse than the rest of the Danish indie rock acts. Figurines was formed in the mid-1990s by Christian Hjelm, Andreas Toft and Claus Salling Johansen, and in 2001, the band's debut EP ,The Detour, was released. Figurines was signed in 2007 to Ben Watt's new label, Strange Feeling, in the UK. Description from last.fm.
