The Yellowjackets

The Yellowjackets is a Los Angeles-based jazz funsion band that was formed in 1977. The band has gone through multiple variations of members, however, it has managed to maintain its original sonic identity. In 2009, the band was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Contemporary Jazz category, a high honor for a band that has stayed resilient to change and time. The group continues to tour internationally, often playing multiple nights at a single venue.
