Radiosofa is an alternative pop/rock band from Rouen, France that released its eponymous debut album in 2007 to an incredible amount of acclaim for an up-and-coming band on the French independent music scene. The band was formed in the early 2000s by four high school friends who had originally named the band Misterjack. However, in 2002 the band changed their name to Radiosofa--a decision that proved to be almost instantaneously beneficial to the band's image. Radiosofa's musical and lyrical style is described as being steeped in references to Anglo-Saxon new wave/pop rock, synthesized with heavily poetic lyrics in the French tradition, and the band's newest album Le Souffle Court (Shortness of Breath) is already being celebrated as a much more mature and intense endeavor from the talented French quartet.
