Des Moines, Iowa band Stone Sour has had a strong presence in American metal scenes since the early 1990s. The band has been through various members over the years, but has managed to stay relevant since its inception, playing sold out concerts year-round. The band reached its critical and commercial peak in 2006, receiving a Grammy-Award nomination for Best Metal Performance.
