Though its roots can be traced back to a high school drums and keyboard partnership between musicians Bob Parlier and Joe Hettinga, Strange Arrangement has since become a full-fledged jam rock band capable of playing confidently within several different genres. Each of the band's four members are well-trained on their respective instruments thanks to attendance at prominent music vocational schools and institutes. The result is an amalgamation of well-executed rock, funk and jazz that has struck a chord with fans of jam-oriented live performances. Furthermore, Strange Arrangement aims to keep listeners on their toes with inspired or unexpected cover song choices, such as the theme to Beverly Hills Cop and "I Can Change" by LCD Soundsystem.
