Young Knives

Young Knives is an indie rock band based out of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, England. Formed in 1998, the three-piece pulls from post punk, Brit-pop and slick dance rock to create an agreeable style that seems destined to find its way to UK radio at some point. Similar to fellow UK post punk revivalists such as The Futureheads and Kaiser Chiefs, the band utilizes angular guitar lines, bouncy disco beats and anthemic choruses in its songwriting. However, Young Knives manages to distance itself from its peers a bit with the occasional orchestrated backdrop, which adds a glossy sheen to its more rock-minded tendencies.
