The Answering Machine is a indie rock band from Manchester, England. The band formed in 2006 after meeting at the University of Manchester. Their indie pop songs are generally very dance friendly, and the band remains a popular live act in their native country. Their debut album, Another City, Another Story, was released in 2009.
