Zane Lowe, also known as "Zipper," is a radio DJ and television presenter from London, England by way of New Zealand who heads up an extremely popular evening radio show on BBC Radio 1 that focuses primarily on playing alternative/underground music. One of Lowe's more original contributions to the airwaves was his five season weekly radio show titled "Masterpieces," which dedicated each show to a discussion and a presentation of one of the greatest albums in the history of alternative music. With his coveted place as one of the UK's most popular radio DJs, Lowe has used his platform and clout to introduce some of the most renowned indie/alternative acts to England and the rest of the world.
