Pete Tong

One of the most renown DJs not only in the UK but throughout the world, Pete Tong has been a staple in the electronic dance music scene since the mid-1980s. Born in Kent, England in 1960, Tong spent the late 1970s and early 1980s working a variety of jobs in the entertainment industry, including stints as a music journalist and representative at A&R management, before being exposed to house music. The new discovery would change his career path for good, as Tong dove head first into the genre's pulsing beats and highly-danceable sound. Now almost three decades into his career, he continues to be an extremely prominent name in house music, specifically the progressive style of the genre, and performs at sold-out clubs and parties all over the world.
