Andrea Corr is a Celtic folk/pop rock singer/songwriter from Dundalk, Ireland, who is perhaps best known as the lead singer for the famed 1990s band The Corrs. Despite the immeasurable success she experienced during her stint with the band, Corr decided to embark upon a solo career once The Corrs decided to go on hiatus in the early 2000s. Corr's debut solo album, Ten Feet High, was released in 2007 to significant critical acclaim. However, despite the generally positive assessment of the work and Corr's diligent contributions to crafting each of the songs, sales for the album hardly reached the levels of her work with The Corrs. However, poor sales have not deterred Andrea Corr from keeping her solo career going full steam ahead, and her fanbase still remains stronger than ever.
