Though each getting their respective start in different musical outfits in the early 1960s, it wasn't till 1968 when David Crosby and Graham Nash realized the power of their musical chemistry when they, along with Steven Stills, formed the folk group Crosby, Stills and Nash; which later evolved into Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young when Neil Young joined the group in 1969. Though the band helped shape the public's understanding of folk rock, the outfit decided to disband in 1970. While Stills and Young went on to pursue other musical endeavors, Crosby and Nash knew their pairing was something special and they continued to work together--releasing their first album as a duo in 1972. The two musicians have maintained a collaborative schedual and have managed to occasionally keep a respectable touring schedule, where concert-goers can witness two musical legends in the flesh.
