Japandroids is a noise rock band from Vancouver, Canada that creates loud garage music. Formed in 2006, the band first earned notoriety in 2009 with the release of its debut album Post-Nothing. The band's subsequent seven-leg tour brought its raucous live shows to over 20 different countries, putting Japandroids on the radar of several different independent and mainstream music sources. After spending nearly two years on the road, the band took most of 2011 to write and record new material, resulting in the 2012 album, Celebration Rock.
