Eddi Reader is a folk/pop singer/songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland whose incredible career as a solo artist has seen her awarded with the title Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her contributions to the arts in 2007. With over 10 studio albums under her belt, Reader is perhaps best known for her eponymous second album, released in 1994 to substantial critical acclaim and commercial success--reaching #4 of the UK pop charts. Today, Eddi Reader is almost universally celebrated as one of the most important folk-pop musicians currently performing today, particularly in Great Britain.
