Lisa Ekdahl

Lisa Ekdahl is a Swedish singer who achieved widespread notoriety practically overnight when she released her hit single, "Vem Vet (Who Knows?)," in 1994. Ekdahl was 24 years old when the song became a smash hit and although many young musicians buckle under the pressure of the cultural spotlight, the Swedish chanteuse managed to hold up rather well and maintain a high level of respectability. Mainly singing songs that typically fall into the pop genre, with subtle flourishes of jazz instrumentation, Ekdahl's voice has been called feathery and child-like, but that doesn't mean that she can't fully express herself with powerful vocal chops in many of her songs.
