Swedish bands have their hands in quite a variety of styles. Whether melancholic and brooding or something more guitar-driven, Swedish bands are often the first to come forward with a new and fresh act. Surprising as it may sound, most of these bands write their songs in English. Kristian Anttila is quite different. Not only does he write his songs in his mother tongue, but what he writes is just downright odd: "Jajaja det är lugnt jag bara hostar blod" translates to "Well, well, nevermind, I'm simply coughing up blood." So if you're into the macabre in the disguise of a clean pop song, Kristian Anttila is worth a listen.
