Brought together by teen angst and a love for Iggy Pop dramatics and Jesus & Mary Chain guitar distortion, founding members of Broder Daniel formed the group in Gothenburg in the early 80s. Quickly grabbing the attention of the press through its somewhat violent performances with charasmatic lead singer Henrik Berggren always decked out in a full face of makeup, resembling a character out of A Clockword Orange or something, Broder Daniel became a Swedish sensation amongst teenagers almost overnight. After suffering a string of setbacks including multiple lineup changes, being dropped dropped by record labels almost immediately after being signed, and tragically losing its guitar player to suicide, Broder Daniel called it quits in 2008.
