A Foot in Coldwater, also known as AFIC, was a Canadian rock band that emerged in Toronto during the 1970s and 1980s. Comprising Alex Machin on vocals, Bob Horne on keyboards, Paul Naumann on guitar, Danny Taylor on drums, and Hughie Leggat on bass guitar and vocals, the band quickly gained recognition for their distinct sound. Their hit single "(Make Me Do) Anything You Want" became a Canadian chart success and secured their place in the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Despite facing challenges, such as their record label's bankruptcy and the departure of Horne, the band continued to release albums and singles, including "The Second Foot in Coldwater" and "All Around Us." A brief reunion took place in 1988, but the band eventually split. A Foot in Coldwater's impact on Canadian rock music remains significant, with their legacy preserved through their memorable hits and their contribution to the vibrant music scene of the era.
