The Stampeders

The Stampeders is a Canadian rock n' roll outfit that emerged out of Calgary, Alberta, in 1964. After breaking into a mainstream audience with the hit single "Sweet City Woman" in 1971 and releasing several studio albums, the band broke up in 1977 before the release of its eighth LP, Ballsy. Over a decade later, The Stampeders reunited in 1992 with a rigorous touring schedule and eventually dropped another studio album, Sure Beats Working, in 1998.
