Kovács Kati was born in 1944, and her talent for singing was discovered in the "Ki Mit Tud?" (Who Knows What?) talent show competition of 1965. Her characteristic, harsh voice made her a a crowd favorite and soon she came to be a world-renowned singer and actress.
