DJ Premier

Christopher Edward Martin, who performs and releases music as DJ Premier, is a producer and DJ who has worked with some of hip-hop's greatest talents including Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G. and Nas. Though Martin was born and raised in Texas, after moving to Brooklyn he truly defined himself as a go-to producer and DJ for New York City-based rappers. While he is probably best know for his production and collaborative work, DJ Premier has also released solo material, beginning in 2008 with his debut album Beats That Collected Dust Vol. 1, that highlights his supreme ability as a turntablist.
