Djakout Mizik, now known as Djakout #1, is a Haitian compas band based in Carrefour, Haiti. They are renowned for their slow jazzy style and have released notable songs such as "Septieme Ciel," "Naje Pou Soti," and "Biznis Pam." In 2007, they made their first appearance on American network television when they performed with Wyclef Jean on MTV during New Year's Eve. The band was crowned the best carnival band in Haiti in 2008 for their energetic performance of "Kalòt Marasa" (two slaps). In 2010, Djakout Mizik split into two separate bands, with one retaining the original name and the other adopting the name "Djakout #1." They have released several studio albums, including "Defi Leve," "Jistis," "Live Biznis pa m'," "Mannigueta," "Love Songs," "Live Mechan Mechan," "La Familia," and "Septieme Ciel."
