He quickly rose as one of the leading pioneers of the romantic salsa wave. Enrique released several acclaimed albums that decade, including Luces del Alma from 1990 and his 1994 self-titled LP, but he truly became a world star with his 2009 album, Ciclos. The record earned him three Latin Grammy Awards, including the prize for Best Tropical Latin Album. Enrique continues to expand his growing fan-base throughout the world.
