The Melbourne Opera is a non-profit opera company based in Melbourne, Victoria. Founded in 2002, it presents multiple operas every year and also tours to other theaters within Victoria. Its debut season mounted productions of La Traviata, The Pearl Fishers and The Magic Flute. The company has since staged other popular operas including Madama Butterfly, Rigoletto, Cosi fan Tutte, Don Giovanni, The Barber of Seville and The Abduction from the Seraglio.
