Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Mount Carmel delivers powerhouse performances characterized by extensive, riff-heavy jams rooted in the blues-based rock of legends like Cream, Blue Cheer, and Black Sabbath. Despite their classic rock influences, the band surprised many by joining a label known for its focus on modern "shitgaze" acts. Nevertheless, Matthew Reed, Patrick Reed, and Kevin Skubak embraced this unexpected pairing, releasing their self-titled album with Siltbreeze in 2010. They continued their collaboration for the 2012 follow-up, "Real Women." Transitioning to label Alive Naturalsound, they unleashed their third album, "Get Pure," in 2014, solidifying their status as a force to be reckoned with in the rock scene.
