Born and raised amongst the rolling green hills of Ireland, undoubtedly left a strong influence on the Celtic singer/songwriter Orla Fallon. An adept player of the harp, Fallon predominantly sings in Irish Gaelic, which helps add a degree of uniqueness to her already characteristic croon. She received a high level of notoriety in 2000 after she released her debut album, Water is Wide, to general acclaim. In 2005 she was offered to join the Irish vocal group Celtic Woman. After spending four years with the outfit, Fallon decided to leave it to have a bit of a break and concentrate on her family. Her break from Celtic Woman, has also let her concentrate on recording her solo projects as well as touring occasionally.
