Based in Portland, Oregon, the Winterhawks is a prominent junior ice hockey team that takes part in the fiercely-contested Western Hockey League (WHL). One of the few teams in the league to split up their venues, most of their home games are held at the Moda Center, while a minority of matches find themselves hosted at the Memorial Coliseum. Boasting illustrious alumni consisting of Ryan Johansen, Sven Baertschi and Adam Deadmarsh, their pedigree of producing bright young talent is unquestioned. They are three-time WHL champions and two-time winners of the Memorial Cup.
