The San Jose Giants is an American minor league baseball franchise that competes in the Northern Division of the California League. Based out of San Jose, California, the team acts as the Class-A Advanced affiliate for the San Francisco Giants. As such, many star MLB players have passed through the San Jose franchise over the years, including Tim Lincecum, Buster Posey, Royce Clayton and Rod Beck. The club was founded in 1988 and plays its home games at San Jose Municipal Stadium.
