Jackie Venson is an American singer-songwriter from Austin, TX. The youngest of nine siblings, she was encouraged to play the piano by her mother at the age of eight. Her father - also a musician - was one of her biggest inspirations growing up. Venson attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and majored in composition and studio production. After witnessing the ease with which a schoolmate played the guitar and the fun that he had, she decided to take up the instrument and began learning to play it in 2011 - her last year at Berklee. She competed in the Modern Southern Music Competition in 2014 and won a spot on the Belk Summer Tour. She performed for artists like Jason Aldean, James Taylor and Tim McGraw and also played at the Austin Urban Music Festival. She made her debut in 2014 with the studio album The Light in Me. Its follow-up album Joy was released in 2019. 2020 was a prolific year, and saw the release of Jackie the Robot, Vol. 1, Jackie the Robot, Vol. 2 and Vintage Machine. Some of her top songs include "Rollin' On," "Only Have You," "Keep On," "Rollin' and Tumblin" and "Flying," among others.
