Gérald de Palmas, born Gérard Gardrinier, is a French singer-songwriter who won a competition on a television network in 1994. His first album came out the same year and was titled La dernière année. “De Palmas” was his maternal grandmother’s maiden name and reflects his Réunion heritage.
