Inga Rumpf is a singer/songwriter from Hamburg, Germany who first began her career as a member of various blues and folk bands before striking out on her own as a solo musician in the mid-1970s. Refining and evolving her characteristic neo-schlager style, Rumpf would distinguish herself by blending her numerous influences into a cohesive offering with her debut 1975 LP, Second Hand Girl. Though Rumpf's recording and touring schedule has been somewhat erratic over her decades long career, whenever she does reemerge onto the European music scene, she tends to have a pertinent musical offering.
