Max Prosa is a singer/songwriter and musician who developed his affinity for folk rock by playing shows in Berlin's underground music scene. At 21 years of age, Prose was praised for his narrative style, for telling surreal stories packed with curiosity about the world, and for ignoring the adolescent self-discovery themes that are so often employed by young musicians. His acoustic neo-folk instrumentation keeps his songwriting at the center of attention, allowing Prosa to offer listeners a sound packed with vulnerability and enthusiasm without studio production. Often seen performing with a guitar and harmonica, he is known to use a glockenspiel, dulcimer and several other string instruments to add new dimensions of sound. In 2012 Prosa released his debut album, Die Phantasie wird siegen, which he describes his impressions of a big city and the overwhelming sense of being lost.
