Dot Rotten is the stage name for J Ellis, an alternative hip-hop musician and producer from London who has risen to become one of Britain's most promising up-and-coming grime artists. Despite getting off to a rocky start trying to establish his image on London's grime scene in 2004, Dot Rotten was able to catch his footing with the release of his acclaimed mixtape This is the Beginning under his original moniker "Young Dot" in 2006.
