While she was raised by a strictly religious step-father who prohibited any form of music in his home, UK-based musician Phidel still managed to take music lessons and write songs at school. After running away from home, the singer/songwriter began truly focusing on her music career and immediately grabbed the spotlight after her demo "Piano B" was picked up for an national advertising campaign. The instrumental piano ballad showcased Phidel's knack for haunting contemporary classical and garnered her several more campaigns. Phidel also released dark pop tracks which showcased her tasteful vocals and stringed instruments, winning her an even broader audience.
