Led by the assertive vocal prowess of lead singer Stina Twee, the UK-based four-piece Boycotts plays no frills indie rock songs with plenty of pop hooks thrown in for good measure. Making a name for itself around Scotland with well-received live performances that showcased its knack for fuzzed-out guitar pop and short, catchy songwriting, Boycotts eventually branched out to tour all over the UK and beyond, managing to perform at several notable music festivals in between. The band's cleverly titled debut EP, Start a Boycott, was released in 2009.
