Deerpeople

A collection of six friends and adventurous musicians from Stillwater, Oklahoma, Deerpeople plays a bizarre, but charming, brand of psychedelic indie rock that has resonated well with fans throughout its home state and beyond. Using a backdrop of bass, drum, organ and a wealth of percussion, effects pedals, accordion, violin and keys, the band creates a racket that straddles the line between structured pop appeal and free-form chaos. Probably best represented in the live setting, Deerpeople is known to put on loud, but also intensely intimate shows that are prone to quickly converting newcomers.
