Initially a stunt crew used for television and films often of the Celtic/Pictish era, including Braveheart, Gladiator, and King Arthur, the members of Clanadonia would play together during breaks on set. This led to the formation of a full-fledged band set in Scottish tradition and focused around tribal drums and bagpipes. The Glasgow-based six-piece performs in full costume and has been a group of interest both for tourists and natives looking to experience ancient Scottish music. Clanadonia often partakes in street performances as well as Celtic festivals and has been invited to play its high-energy traditional music around the world.
