The overwhelming crowd response when Kurt Wagner and Cortney Tidwell performed together on a certain night in 2008 led to the birth of the idea of collaborating for further projects in the future. And thus, Kort was born, a collaborative duo of Lambchop frontman Kurt Wagner and Cortney Tidwell. They aim to bring back country music and restore its popularity. Their album Invariable Heartache, has been produced by Tidwell's grandfather under the label Chart Records and has gained appreciation.
