Retro/Grade is an electro and Italo Disco project comprised of the DJ/producer team of Serge Santiago and Tom Neville. Before forming in 2005, Neville had forged a nice career for himself by remixing artists such as Britney Spears, The Verve and The Ting Tings. Meanwhile, Santiago was diving head first into the slinky sounds of Italo Disco of the 1970s. Together, the two update the Italian genre by giving it a discernibly modern, dance-oriented sound full of thick house beats, ethereal synthesizer work and electro influences.
