Jean-Yves Thibaudet is a French pianist. He was born into a musical family, where his father played the violin and his mother was a proficient pianist. He began studying the piano at the age of five and entered the Conservatoire de Lyon to further his education. He continued his studies at the Paris Conservatory and racked up several awards during the course. Over the course of his career, he has performed with some of the world's biggest symphonic orchestras, such as the likes of Berliner Philharmoniker, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the LA Philharmonic and more.
