André Ceccarelli

André Ceccarelli is a jazz drummer from Nice, France, who got his start as a teenager in the French rock group Les Chats Sauvages. After leaving the group in the mid-1960s, he spent some time playing classical music with the orchestra of the Casino du Sporting Club de Monaco before discovering jazz. While working as a session musician, he began crafting with his own material and eventually released his debut album, Ceccarelli, in 1978. He has since continued to release music on his own as well as with various modern jazz outfits, most notably Troc and Trio Stud.
