The music of Belgian pianist, Eric Legnini is an example of jazz musicianship taken to masterful heights. One can't help from noticing the wide and varied influence of past and present jazz musicians - whether it be through listening to the tone and general atmosphere of a song like "Casa Bamako" where one is reminded of the Latin flavor of Chick Corea, or the stoic cover of Stevie Wonder's "The Secret Life of Plants" - it's almost impossible not to feel the love and respect that Legnini and his Trio have for their mentors.
