Jamiroquai

Jamiroquai is the project of singer/songwriter Jason Kay, who is the classic representative of a runaway kid who turns away from his life of petty crime to make music. One of the more prominent bands to have emerged out of England in the '90s, Jamiroquai has changed lineups consistently, but has maintained its sound and popularity. Though the band makes a unique style of music that is a blend of funk, disco and modern electronica, the group is typically referred to as an acid jazz band. The group achieved mainstream success with its single "Virtual Insanity" off the band's 1995 studio album Traveling Without Moving and has continued to thrive ever since.
