Total Control is a punk rock outfit from Melbourne, Australia, that bridges synth-laden post punk with noisy garage rock. The band released its debut album Henge Beat, in 2011, and quickly captured national attention with its fusion of frantic punk beats and swirly no wave rhythms. Word eventually spread to the shores of California, where the garage rock masters of Thee Oh Sees caught wind of Total Control's music and invited the band to join them on a US tour. Total Control went on to drop a split 12-inch record with Thee Oh Sees in 2013, a day before the release of its second LP, 7"s.
