Amadou & Mariam

Amadou & Mariam is a world music duo from Mali that is often referred to as "the blind couple from Mali," due to the fact that both performers are blind. Their success came in the late-1990s when they began producing music that combined traditional Malian music with rock instruments and various other cultural instruments from around the world. Since then, Amadou & Mariam have achieved world renown for their unique brand of worldbeat music and captivating live performances.
