La Rue Kétanou is a French group that blends folk, reggae and traditional chanson with elements of theater and cabaret to create a unique style of performance art that's well suited for the Parisian stage. Comprised of musicians and actors Mourad Musset, Olivier Leite and Florent Vintrigner, during its formative years, La Rue Kétanou performed on the streets of Paris, garnering acclaim and attention. Though the group isn't known for its studio work, it released its debut album, En attendant les caravanes, in 2001, helping spread La Rue Kétanou musical gospel beyond the streets of France's capital.
