Big Sir

The Los Angeles-based alternative rock band Big Sir is the musical project of vocalist Lisa Papineau and The Mars Volta bassist Juan Alderete. Big Sir released its self-titled debut album in 2000 with the help of long-time producer Bruce Boillet, who plays guitar with Alderete in the band Racer X. Over the next decade, the band would drop two more albums prior to releasing its fourth critically acclaimed studio effort, Before Gardens After Gardens in 2012.
