CALLmeKAT

Katrine Ottosen, who performs and releases music under her CALLmeKAT moniker, is a Danish signer/songwriter and composer whose music seems to perfectly encapsulate her upbringing in the Scandinavian countryside. Able to capture the aloofness and isolation that comes with many of the area's arduous winters, Ottonsen's music also pays homage to the region's deeps history and respect for polished production and shimmering melody. Ottosen released her debut album, Fall Down, in 2008 and the LP's intelligent blend of downtempo electronic instrumentals and wistful vocals helped capture Ottosen's musical ethos perfectly.
