Kate Simko is a musician and producer who uses her classical training in piano and music theory to craft intelligent electronic music. Growing up in Chicago, she cultivated her influences in the underground dance music scene and quickly began experimenting with her own compositions. With roots in Detroit house and of course Chicago house, she offers an intricate, highly textured fusion of deep house and minimal techno. Since releasing her debut album, 2008's Gamelan, she's earned massive critical acclaim for her chunky bass lines, driving rhythms and overall soulful sound.
