If electropop and emo slept together, their offspring would sound like La Roux. Translated to "the red-haired one," the English duo made up of carrot-headed songstress Elly Jackson and producer Ben Langmaid was founded in 2008 and has risen to prominence with catchy synth-laden songs that capitalize off computerized drums with start-stop rhythms. After the hit single "Bulletproof" was released, La Roux established itself as a hit-making band and it continues to sell out venues in North American and the UK.
